Maruti_Football_League_13/Dec/2009
This was the 2nd inter division football tournament. The matches were played in Rotary public school and ground size was half of the usual football ground.
There were in total 24 teams with 11 players in each team covering divisions (1) Engineering (2) Production Engineering (3) Service (4)Sales & Marketing (5) Spare parts+Acc (6) KB plant (7) Assembly (8) Manesar Plant 1 (9) Manesar Plant 2 (10) Suzuki powertrain (11) Suzuki motorcycle (12) Japanese and 12 more......
Tournament had two cups (a) Gold and (b) Silver
In 1st inter division football tournament we won the silver cup and sales & marketing won gold cup.
From Engineering we had 3 teams and Engg-1, Engg-2 and Engg-3. We wanted to won both the cups so we decided to keep one team strongest (Engg-1) second team stronger (Engg-3) and third team strog (Engg-2).
I was in Engg-3 team.
we won the one of our league match out of two as a result we have to play for silver cup....but unfortunately in quarter finals our match turned out to be against our second team (Engg-1)
so as a strategy we decided to let them win....there was no enthusiasm...no motivation...once we came to know that our match is against our own team.....it was like a bro killing a bro....
but we had fun...we enjoyed a lot and in the end Engg-1 team won the final...that was best moment for us..
Manesar Plant won the gold cup.
We retained our last year position by winning the silver cup.

Delhi_Half_Marathon_1/Nov/2009
In between football sessions, I got the opportunity to run in the "DELHI_HALF_MARATHON". I make my mind to run for 21 Kms and also get encouraged Vijay (a superb footballer, athlete) to run for 21 Kms. We were having around 40 days to practice and mould our body according to the situation but in between we were having tough work schedules. Around 20 days prior to the event I ran for 10 Kms in 1 hour, 7 days prior to the event I and Vijay ran for 6 Kms, next day 12 Kms, next day 16 Kms then 3 days prior to the event ran for 20 Kms in 3 hours after that we had 2 days of rest.
Practice sessions gave me enough experience about the physical fatigues and mental strengths. It was very difficult to cover the last few kilometers, the fatique is tremendous, body pain is asking you to stop and take rest thats where you have to be strong and have this feeling inculcate in you.
The day
I and Vijay covered 21.092 Kms in 2 hours 32 minutes and 42 seconds. Both of us had the same timings.
Wow what an achivement. My first Half_marathon run.

After a long break (around 4 years), I started playing football from last week of April 2009. We (team Maruti) played every sunday 0600 hrs morning in Tau devi lal stadium Gurgaon. We face the hot summer days. I used to get up early in the morning around 0500 hrs and make a phone call to wake up others. This practice session we continued till end of Dec'2009.

This was the second engineering conclave. Theme of the Engineering conclave 2009 was Engage Execute Excel. The aim of the event was to share the achivements, information with the members and provide information about the future plans of Maruti R&D so that all the members have common understanding and at same platform.
In the conclave I received achievement award for design change.

Welcome_2010_and_bye-bye_2009
Its been months since I posted my last post on the blog. It was hard to find time for blogging. As during the new year I am having a long vocation (winter vocation) so I am having the opportunity to back on writing.
In the coming posts I will be summarizing the 2009 events.
Passing year was quite an eventful, full of masti, hardwork, very hectic schedules.
Making a balance between work and social life was not so easy.
Success mantra was waste less time and spent time of useful activities.
